Yes! This is the spice rack I have and love! (Pictured behind me below.) It holds all 12 of the spices, plus has room for a few other goodies like a couple of jars of ghee or some extra sea salt or stored bacon fat. I leave it on the countertop next to the stove for easy-access while cooking.

Are any blends FODMAP-free or low FODMAP?

Are there salt free blends?
No, all of the blends contain sea salt.
Are they certified organic?
Yes.
Are they certified gluten-free?
No. The facility where the blends are mixed and packed does not work with any gluten-containing ingredients, however it is not yet a certified gluten-free facility. We are working to get this certification as soon as possible.
Are they dairy-free?
Yes.
Are they nut-free?
Yes, but the facility where the blends are mixed and packed does also handle nuts, so if you have an extreme allergy please take caution. I have an oral allergy to most tree nuts, and have never had any issues with the blends triggering my allergy.
Where do they ship?
The blends ship in the United States.
Is there information about which blends taste good with which foods?
Yes! Right on the side of each label there are different icons for various animals and plants you might want to season with the blends: eggs, chicken, beef, pork, lamb, fish, veggies, and potatoes! If the icon is a paler shade of white, then it's not ideal with that blend, but most of the blends taste great with almost anything, so you'll see the icons in a white outline right on the label.

What is the shelf life of the blends?
Balanced Bites Spices are packed in small batches and are air-sealed for freshness under the cap. Unopened, they will remain fresh for up to a year. Opened, they will remain fresh for many months, however the potency of the spices may deteriorate at the same rate any other spices would! The blends will not go bad or rancid, they'll simply not taste as fresh or potent.
The two blends that I would recommend using more quickly due to some trace amounts of oils in the ingredients are the COFFEE BBQ (since it includes ground coffee which has naturally occurring oils) and BAGEL blend (since it includes sesame seeds). If you are concerned about not using them quickly enough or if you live in a very hot climate, you are welcome to store these two blends in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.
My recommended shelf-life is 6 months. If you find you have a lot of one blend that you want to use up, simply season up some dip, or a whole chicken, a pot of chili, or try to be a bit more generous when seasoning your food on a daily basis! I use the “wide open”/ spoon side to shake spices onto our food. You'll pack more nutrients into your food this way, and you'll boost the flavor.
Don't be overly sparing with your spices – use and enjoy them!

For 19.99 you are shipping an entire case of LARGE glass bottles of spices. If you don’t want to pay what it costs to send such a heavy case of spices, I totally get it. But it is what it is. This stuff isn’t cheap to send, and unless you’re Amazon or a big company, you can’t get reduced shipping rates. Nature of the beast.
Good morning! I attempted to purchase the spice rack set of 12 and it’s telling me to select another option as the texmex blend is not available. When will it be available? My son has Crohns and is in the Specific Carbohydrate Diet – he can not have any fillers, starches, corn, or food additives in his spices- only 100% spices. Do you use any of these addiribes in your products?

I presume that these are not certified kosher. Have you considered contacting an organization like the OU or OK Laboratories to get kosher certification and open up your market even more? Many of us follow a (mostly) Paleo diet. I have Practical Paleo here at home, and I use it all the time. Thanks so much!

Not certified Kosher, no. I’ll keep this in mind going forward as our bottler is moving to a new facility soon and this may be more possible at that time.

Hi! My mom is overly dependent on a big brand seasoned pepper. Which balanced bites blend might take that place of a seasoned pepper? I’d love to show her the light of organic and higher quality blends!

There isn’t really a “seasoned pepper” option, but maybe I’ll make one soon! What other flavors are in it? She may find she enjoys SUPER GARLIC a lot, it’s a big favorite, but no pepper! GREEK blend has a lemony flavor that may work, too!

I was reading your book Practical Paleo and I came across the section of paleo foods where you give out the list of meat, fats, superfoods, ect. I was inquiring about the “high-quality yogurt”, would grass-fed yogurt be considered high quality since you have grass-fed butter on the list?

Yes! Follow the same rules for all dairy, knowing that all yogurt is heated so it isn’t likely to be classified as “raw”! 🙂
