Balanced Bites Charitable Giving Update Q4 2020

Diane Sanfilippo Direct from Diane 2 Comments

In Q4 2020, we continued our 2020 fundraising efforts and held a number of campaigns to enable you to donate through your purchases of Balanced Bites meals, spices, and more.

Thanks to your generosity, we donated meals to healthcare workers and contributed thousands of dollars to the community.

Here's a recap of Q4 2020 company donations and charitable initiatives (October-December 2020).

DOLLAR-PER-JAR INITIATIVE

Following the launch of Balanced Bites Spices SUPER BLENDS in May, we committed to donating at least $1 per jar sold of the limited edition run to the NAACP.

For the time period of October through December, we combined our $1 per jar plus added our own contribution to make a $1,500 donation in total.

Through this initiative we contributed a total of $7,000 in 2020.

ROUND UP

This summer, we added a simple way for you to “round up” your purchase of Balanced Bites Spices to donate to the ACLU.

We committed to matching the total raised through round up, and so far have donated $900 total with your contributions and our match.

This opportunity to contribute to the ACLU continues to be active on balancedbites.com.

COVID-19 MEAL DONATIONS TO FRONTLINE HEALTHCARE WORKERS

We continued our efforts of donating Balanced Bites meals to healthcare workers in areas heavily impacted by COVID-19.

We donated 80 meals (bringing our total for 2020 to over 100 boxes!) to individuals in the hardest hit areas of California, and a large number of doctors and nurses in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and neighboring states.
