Alright, ladies! Here's a look at three #girlsgetpullups movements you can train. . I'll try to capture some other movements that will help you train for pull-ups besides those that are on the bar soon, but I need to get to another gym space to record! . Do not use bands for these movements. . LEFT: Negatives. Get yourself to the top of the pull-up position (jump, get help from a trainer, or use a box or step that allows you to reach), then lower as slowly as you possibly can. Repeat this 2-5x resting 1-3 minutes between. . MIDDLE: Scap pull-ups (I had called them shrugs previously since that's what my teacher called them at trapeze class years ago, but they're basically a scapular retraction “pull-up”). Pull yourself up only from the very bottom of your dead hang position using a shrug-type of moment and try not to bend much at the elbow. You are not trying to pull all the way up here, you're training what I think most women find the most difficult – digging out of that dead hang. Do 2-5 sets of these, as many as you can, resting 2-3 minutes between. . RIGHT: half-pull ups. These get the biceps involved and go beyond the scap pull-up but don't go all the way. Do 2-3 sets of these, resting 2-3 minutes between. . Note: my workout posts are not open casting for my next personal trainer. In other words, no IG coaching please, thanks 😘 . If you want to see an old school trapeze video of mine, hit this tag – it's the oldest post there! #flipslifts . #pullups #bodybuilding #crossfit #notcrossfit
