New Book! The #21DSD Daily Guide

This book has been a long-time coming… my team and I have planned this since last year, but we've had a lot on our plates releasing the BB Master Class and opening up for new 21DSD Coach enrollments in the meantime.

AND, we figured this will be PERFECT to have to kick off the New Year. January 2, 2018 is the official release date!!

I'm in the thick of writing this book and testing recipes, and let me tell you… it's going to be incredible! The book is available for preorder now, and releases on January 2. Plus we have some amazing pre-order gifts planned (releasing in December!) that'll kick you off perfectly for your first few days so you'll be ready when the book arrives.

To pre-order the book click here.

P.S. Don't get too attached to this image, as the cover image is not finalized. Plus, we missed a big typo! 😂

MONDAY // Are you waking up to start a new week full of dread? I used to be there. In that “I'm staying up later because I don't want to go to sleep because if I go to sleep then the next thing that happens is I wake up and go to work in that place I definitely don't love and maybe sorta hate” place. . Mondays don't have to be that way. . Make choices every day, however small, to change your life in the direction of what will bring you joy. . If it means living more modestly to save money, I promise your joy will not decrease when your time is spent in a way that feels more true to who you are. Time is the one resource we can not make more of or expand. . Yes, there's a certain amount of money we need to live and sustain ourselves. However, keeping up with the Joneses, living in a home that's bigger than you need, getting a new car when you don't truly need one, dining out, lavish vacations, even extra cable channels – it all adds up to more stuff to fill your life (aka: stand-in for joy) in the hours when you aren't working at the job you may hate. . It's amazing the happiness you can feel every day, and appreciation you can have for the little things, when you wake up simply happy to see another day and to do work you enjoy doing. . I think what we all want is simply to be happy, no? Take stock of what that truly means to you, and what it would take to get there. Reassess and reevaluate your life. I'd be willing to bet there are some new choices you can make to get you just one small step closer this week. 😘 . #dianedirect #sanfrancisco #alcatraz #russianhill #ilovesf

QUALITY TIME // One of the 5 love languages that so many take for granted. I have to say that I don't know if I ever imagined as a young girl that I'd spend so much time each day with my husband. . My parents both worked outside of the home, and were able to spend time together in the evenings and on weekends (and more in the summer since my mom was a school teacher). But not long ago, before I met @fullbodyfix, I remember seeing lots of friends who were entrepreneurs and got to spend a lot more time with their partners. And that looked good to me. . It isn't for everyone, but the ability to spend so much quality time with the man I've chosen as my partner in life is just such a gift. Maybe some people think spending a lot of your days with your partner would make you sick of them. I don't know… I still miss him when he's gone on his busy patient-work days. . He does have an actual office where he sees patients about 2-3 days a week, but we get to spend so much time together and I'm grateful for that. . Often people say “you're lucky,” about things in other people's lives. Maybe. I think it's all about choices. Some smaller and some bigger, that add up to the life you're living. . And if where you're at isn't where you want to be… I'll repeat myself from last night: make new choices and make changes. . Life is created through a series of choices – not the least of which is how you spend your time. Make it what brings you joy, or what are you doing here? There's no prize for being miserable or unhappy. No one is waiting to hand you a gold star for bearing the burden of bad choices. Make new ones. That's the beauty of each new day. . On that note… if you haven't seen my IG story from this morning, it's good for a giggle. It's the series of 5 black screens where Scott and I “discuss” what happened last night… sound UP! 😂 . #docandflips #dianedirect #sanfrancisco #iloveSF #gratitude #oldselfie

SMOKED SALMON AVOCADO TOSTADA 🥑 // The new avocado toast? Perhaps! Watch me make this in a quick video in my current IG story! . Note that IG stories work on a rolling 24-hour basis. So when I post recently added stuff, if you hadn't yet seen other posts I've made in the last day, then those will show first and the most recent stuff shows last. . Also note: my IG stories tend to have some better content than my feed. Just sayin'. 😉 . 👁‍🗨HOW TO VIEW AN IG STORY: Tap on the person's profile name, then on their photo when it has a colored circle around it. Or simply tap on someone's profile photo wherever you see it with the colored circle around it! ⏸To PAUSE a photo, hold your thumb down or tap and hold anywhere on the screen. ⏩To SKIP or FF ahead, tap on the very right side of the screen. ⏪To REPLAY or RW something, tap the very left side of the screen. ▶️To RE-WATCH the whole thing, go back to the profile and tap on their photo which will now have a grey circle around it indicating that there is a current story but you've viewed it already. 🔗To view linked content from a story post, SWIPE UP when you see the text on the arrows of the screen or a poster says to “swipe up” – they literally mean to swipe your finger on the screen to access the content. 🕔Stories only live for 24 hours from the posting of each part. . (Reminder: to save this post to refer to later, just tap the little bookmark icon on the right side of your IG screen under this photo.) . @vitalchoice is a proud @balancedbitespodcast sponsor. 🙌🏻 thanks to @sietefoods for the tortillas! #dianesfavoritethings #paleo #grainfree #21dsd
