21DSD Recipe Round-up | Beef Short Ribs

Braised or slow-cooked short ribs are one of the most delectable (and easy to make) ways to enjoy beef! If you've never had them, try one of these mouth-watering recipes!

Note: some of these recipes use red wine, which helps to tenderize and flavor the meat. You can use wine for the recipe since the alcohol will cook off, or just substitute broth or water.

Highlights from Instagram

TRUST YOURSELF. // It happens often. Someone asks me a question super fast after I post something, or in a super fast response. And I almost *always* reply. I know lots of you would say “just don't reply,” but that isn't who I am. I reply to *see* people and I reply to help, and I reply because you've called upon me to give you my attention with your comment or question. . But it happens often that I reply with something you *already* knew. Yep, you got it, I'm not some special guru with magical powers or access to special stores or places in the world where I can buy things that are tricky to find or super hidden in the corners of the Internet. . Like you, I shop on Amazon, at Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's… totally normal and expected places. I use Google to find things I see in Instagram or on the Internet that I like. . So, recently in response to a post I made, I received a DM question (which is almost like sending me a private text… so the attention I give there is pure and focused) about whether the item I featured, pictured clearly, and tagged in the photo was used in the coffee that I was pouring in the photo. . I said “that's why it's in the photo,” and the reader replied with essentially a “yeah, I guess that was obvious.” To this, I then replied “Just think a little and trust yourself.” To which she replied, “I need to do that more.” . Yes! To all of you out there who somehow feel like your own internal, innate, and intuitive sense of what's happening around you or your ability to figure it out isn't enough… IT IS. I believe you can figure things out for yourself. This isn't about me not wanting to answer questions or help or guide you, that's what I do all day and it's awesome. It's about the *types* of questions that truly tell me that you have allowed yourself to feel or become disempowered in this life. . You are capable. . The reason I reply to some questions with something other than “a simple answer,” is because I WANT MORE FOR YOU. I want you to believe in yourself the way that I believe in you. . Take back your power. Don't give it to me. The more you use your own power, the stronger it gets – the stronger you get. #dianedirect
