Spending super quality time with my girl Cassy Joy (of Fed + Fit) and with all of YOU who joined us Saturday at the book signing was the cherry of my entire weekend in Vancouver!
We left LOTS of signed copies of Practical Paleo 2nd edition in HARD COVER and the Fed + Fit book at the Indigo on Granville (you can call for one from anywhere in Canada I'm sure!).
You should check out our hashtag from the trip, but if you're not already watching my Instagram Stories, what are you waiting for?! There's so much more that I shared there – delicious hotel room breakfasts each day, the behind the scenes of our gluten free baked goods crawl, travel tips for staying healthy while on the road or at the airport… I highly suggest you start watching!
Balanced Bites Spices – Easy Recipe
I love this easy peasy recipe (slightly edited from Instagram user @alyssastwobites) for roasted potatoes using my Diner blend!
Roast 1″ cubed russets with avocado oil and #bbspices Diner blend. Bake for 40 minutes at 375F (rotate tray halfway through), then finish at 450F for another 25 min (rotate the tray halfway through again).
Make sure you're following our Balanced Bites Spices Instagram account for more recipe inspiration!

NEW! THE #21DSD DAILY GUIDE 🍏🍌🥑 // It's been a long-time coming… my team and I have planned this since last year, but we've had a lot on our plates releasing the BB Master Class and opening up for new #21dsdcoach enrollments in the meantime. . AND, we figured this will be SUPER EXCITING and PERFECT to have to kick off the New Year. Plus, I prefer even year dates to odd, which is weird, but true. #2018 . Now, I know this makes you WANTITRIGHTMEOW. And I'm #sorrynotsorry about that. But, patience. These things take time and printing and releasing takes time. . So, while it *is* available for preorder now, it released on January 2, 2018. And I'm stoked about that because we have some amazing pre-order gifts planned (not releasing those until December!) that'll kick you off perfectly for your first few days so you'll be ready when the book arrives. . Link via my bio and my IG story to grab one – I'm sure Amazon will drop that price soon and the pre-order guarantees the lowest price you see anytime before it releases (it'll likely be under $20). 😘 Note that this cover is not final and is subject to change! . #21dsd #dailyguide #sugardetox #paleo #mealprep #healthy #sugarfree #lowcarb #keto
MY OWN COOKING SHOW // Well, as close as I'm going to get, really. It happens pretty much daily in my IG stories. I hope you enjoy them and learn some new ideas and tricks as well as get reminded of recipes you've got on-hand to try. . Tonight it was Restaurant Style Lettuce (Cabbage) Cups from #PracticalPaleo – and I made a peanut sauce as well (you can make it from almond butter or tahini or cashew or sunflower or whatever the heck you want if you don't do peanuts). Go watch it while you can for the next 23ish hours! 😘🙌🏻 . This plate is Scott's and his cups have white rice in them, mine didn't. No, rice isn't Paleo. . #cookwithdiane
GRATITUDE // Thank you again to everyone who voted for the new, 2nd edition of #PracticalPaleo as well as the @balancedbitespodcast to win Best New Book (health/wellness) and Best Podcast (health/wellness) in the recent @paleomagazine Best of Paleo awards. It's pretty cool to have won these awards for both editions of PP as well as for several years in a row for the podcast. It takes a village – between #teambalancedbites, my husband (who edits the podcast), my podcasting partner @realfoodliz, and myself – to make these things happen. So, thank you to the readers and listeners, and to my team, partners, and support system. ❤️
